Basement Home Office DIY
November 26th, 2012After moving this summer, I decided to embark on the journey of DIY and created a home office. My brother helped me with painting and the wooden wall then I built my desk and corner shelves using 1/2″ iron pipe and reclaimed wood. All electronics are built into the ceiling rafters to create a clean modern look for the wooden wall. The floors were scraped of old tiles and painted to accent the wall. I needed to block the water heater and furnace so I used red roofing material from Lowe’s. My main focus was on balance and the mixture of the existing elements of this 1940s home and modern workspace.

Wow, Casey! That is absolutely awesome! I’m a little jealous…
